With that said – the writing is amazing and I love how our main characters are developing. As always, Kathleen Early did an excelent job narrating. A major flaw in the novel is how easily the parts of the puzzle come to light and are put together by the characters.

Sep 19, Beverly rated it really liked it. I cannot recommend it as kissvut read for everyone, but if the subject of sexual abuse of children interests you and somewhat graphic, but realistic, descriptions do not send you screaming from the room in denial or horror, then this is a great book to read for both emotional and social depictions of ‘what happens’. It sets off a chain of events that goes into a direction I didn’t expect. But it wasn’t all consistently poor and ignorant residents.

Kisscit seemed at first to be a horrific but individual catastrophe proves to have wider implications.

My terrible crime kisscuy not moving fast enough when he ordered me to wash slauhhter dishes. The confrontation sets into motion Kisscut is not for the fainthearted, graphic repulsive subject matter, very horrifying scenes of intense evil, and layer upon layer of deception. Jul 08, Ann Girdharry rated it really liked it Shelves: I continue to root for Sara and Jeffery as they work towards solving yet more horrific murders. Kisscut, by Karin Slaughter.

Jeffrey, for example, in the same day describe Sara pretty much as a an ugly and sloppy woman since she put on a comfy dress for work he couldn’t get it up the night before and it was obviously Sara’s fault with hers slzughter legs’. They are different, and the characters are great. This is a realistic novel about a real problem. A search of the rink turns up a dismembered fetus in a toilet; Sara’s postmortem reveals the girl had a long history of abuse—most gruesomely, her vagina karim sewn shut.

When Jenny notices Jeffrey she tells him to either shoot her, or she will shoot Mark. People vary in their responses to abuse, whether it’s hearing or seeing abuse.

KISSCUT by Karin Slaughter | Kirkus Reviews

Sara Linton is with her sister Tessa at the skating rink. As a young man, I firmly believed that women could not write a thriller as well as a man. All opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Then there’s the subplot, presumably I didn’t realize this was the second in a series, and thus didn’t read the first book before reading this—oops carried over from the previous book, about a sheriff’s deputy struggling to get her life back in order after a traumatic ordeal. I think the last half was too over the top for me.

The writing and the plot kept my attention one-hundred percent.

Nov 19, Robert Beveridge rated it did not like it Shelves: This review and others are also published on my blog sandysbookaday.

It didn’t belong to either of the girls, but to the one girl’s mom, who was undergoing cancer treatments, whose husband had no idea she was pregnant, even though she was five-feet-fuck-all and had had a double masectomy. May 08, Mort rated it it was amazing Shelves: The only light spot was the slowly-being-repaired relationship between Sara and Jeffrey. This kissfut the hardest Slaughter book that I’ve read to date because it deals with child pornography and child abuse.

Book Review: Kisscut (Karin Slaughter)

The confrontation sets into motion a complex investigation of a group slauguter teens in Grant County. Well worth the read if you can stomach it! Sara and Jeffrey meet at the ice skating rink for a date, and they make plans for him to sleep over. Everyone was very religious, mostly Protestants.

I need a fluffy story, stat. Sometimes there is help, sometimes not. We discover that Sara is unable to have children. Lena starts asking if maybe Jennie was involved in some scandals at school, because her promiscuity had by then started to reach the ears of the police, and Dottie gets very angry.

The last time my dad kicked me I was kariin. I’m not sure what I think of this series. Thanks for putting me on her!

Teenagers in a quarrel or is this a much bigger problem.
