He includes a very detailed description of the GPS signals but skims introductiln the section where pseudorange is determined by figuring out what time offset is required to align the output of a pseudorandom number generator in the GPS device with the output produced and generated by the satellite at least, that’s what I think is going on; I had to fill in ahmee of the details myself.
