This is a book that is certainly not for everyone. Very much like Crave, but even further down the spiral. I’m not sure why this is the play that gripped me the most, but it is.

Kane once said that the theatre has no memory. Afterwards, when Theseus sees the corpses, he realizes that it was Strophe who he had just raped and killed and expresses regret before cutting his own throat. Without spoiling anything, the theme here is the brutality of war and it’s effect on the human psyche.
