Even the format is radical. For somebody trying to map the phenomena accelerationism and speculative realism though the latter seems to be a bit of a taboo by now I do recommend Robin Mackay’s and Armen Avanessians “Introduction” – longest text in the book accelerationisst far, by the way! Books by Robin Mackay. But this book is the furthest point from a trashy s airport novel you can imagine.
And it will leave you wanting to get inside the system and do something. Another Science is Possible. Less a genealogy, than a self-serving bricolage then, albeit one with some interesting texts as well reaer some turgid and boring ones.
Mark Fisher’s foaming in the acceleratjonist rants against “embourgeoisified state-subsidised grumbling that so often calls itself academic Marxism” might be well placed in the context of those days, but to be written in s – I’m not sure if they hit the mark at all. Return to Book Page.
